AGM ObservIR LRF 25-256 Thermal Binocular
Thermal Binocular
Core Features
The entry point to AGM's dual-spectrum binoculars: a thermal channel to find the animal, a 4K digital day and night channel to confirm what it is, and a laser rangefinder to put a number on it, all in one handheld. The ObservIR LRF 25-256 runs a 256x192, 12 micron thermal sensor behind a 25 mm F1.0 lens for 4.5x base magnification and detection of a 6 foot heat source to about 1,200 meters (1,312 yards). The second channel is a 3840x2160 low-light CMOS sensor behind a 60 mm F2.2 lens with a built-in 850 nm IR illuminator, good to 400 meters at night. The Class 1 rangefinder reads to 1,000 meters with plus or minus 1 meter accuracy. GPS, a digital compass, 64 GB of recording and Wi-Fi are built in. Two removable 18650 batteries run up to 8 hours, and four batteries, a charger, a wrist strap and a tripod adapter come in the box. IP67 waterproof and backed by AGM's 5-year warranty.
Thermal Channel
The 256x192 VOx detector has NETD under 35 mK and runs at 50 Hz. The 25 mm F1.0 lens gives a 7.0 x 5.3 degree field of view, and magnification steps through 4.5x, 9x and 18x. Black Hot, White Hot, Red Hot and Fusion palettes, Jungle and Recognition scene modes, hot track, and auto, manual or external flat field correction.
4K Digital Day and Night Channel
A 3840x2160 progressive-scan CMOS sensor behind a 60 mm F2.2 lens with 5.5x, 11x and 22x magnification and Day, Night and Auto modes. The built-in 850 nm Smart IR illuminator has adjustable power and beam angle, and night viewing range is 400 meters. Switch from heat signature to a recognizable image without lowering the binocular.
Laser Rangefinder, GPS and Compass
The eye-safe 905 nm Class 1 rangefinder measures to 1,000 meters at plus or minus 1 meter. A built-in GPS module and digital magnetic compass tag your position and heading on screen.
Display and Image Processing
Twin 1920x1080, 0.49 inch OLED displays at 50 frames per second, with -5 to +3 diopter adjustment on each eyepiece and 60 to 74 mm interpupillary adjustment. Image Boost 2.0 and Zoom Pro processing sharpen detail at every zoom step, and picture-in-picture is available.
Recording and App
Video with audio, snapshots and a local album save to 64 GB of built-in EMMC memory. The Wi-Fi hotspot streams the view or transfers files to a phone.
Power
Two removable, rechargeable 18650 Li-ion batteries run up to 8 hours at 25 degrees C with Wi-Fi, IR and the rangefinder off. The USB Type-C port supports a 5 V / 2 A power bank and direct charging. Four batteries and a charger are included; standby mode and auto screen-off stretch a full night.
Durability
IP67 waterproof and dustproof, rated from -30 to +55 degrees C. The unit measures 221 x 142 x 71 mm (8.7 x 5.6 x 2.8 inches) and weighs 0.89 kg (1.96 lb) without batteries.
