The LEAP L12R is RIX's 1280 thermal riflescope and the longest reaching scope in the LEAP line. A 1280x1024 sensor with thermal sensitivity under 15 mK and a 60 Hz refresh rate sits behind a 60 mm F1.0 lens with 2-6x true optical zoom plus 1-8x digital zoom, for a detection range of 3,390 yards. The round 1.03 inch 2560x2560 AMOLED display, an integrated laser rangefinder to 1,312 yards and an onboard ballistic calculator with five zeroing profiles complete the package. A dual battery system runs about 6.5 hours. Rated to 1000g of recoil and IP67, with a QDM-L02 quick-detach Picatinny mount and two batteries in the box. 5 year warranty.

1280 Sensor, 60 mm Lens, Optical Zoom

Most of the L12R's zoom range is optical, so the image stays sharp at 6x instead of turning blocky. The 1280x1024 sensor and 60 mm F1.0 lens hold fine detail at long range, 60 Hz keeps moving animals smooth, and RET processing with AI sharpening fills in detail when digital zoom is added. Real-time image optimization reduces the softening caused by moisture on humid nights.

Round High Resolution Display

The circular 1.03 inch 2560x2560 AMOLED gives the familiar eyepiece view of a traditional riflescope, and continuous optical zoom preserves detail as you magnify.

Integrated Rangefinder and Ballistics

The laser rangefinder is built into the lens housing near the optical axis, so it needs no external calibration. It measures to 1,312 yards with 1.09 yard accuracy, feeds the onboard ballistic calculator for a corrected hold, and Picture-in-Picture can show the corrected aiming point. Five zeroing profiles store different rifles and loads.

Tactile Controls

Three knobs and two buttons give reliable control in the dark or with gloves, and each knob maps to a specific on-screen function to cut menu layers. Nine reticle styles are available; reticles 1 to 4 stay a fixed size with digital zoom, 5 to 9 scale, and reticle 9 is custom in the app. An aluminum alloy lens cover shields the lens and rangefinder.

Recording and RIX+ App

64 GB of built-in storage records 1280x1280 video. Recoil Activated Video saves a clip automatically when the scope detects a shot. Built-in Wi-Fi connects to the RIX+ app on iOS and Android for live streaming, downloads, reticle setup and firmware updates.

Dual Battery Power

An internal 4000 mAh rechargeable battery plus a swappable 18650 give about 6.5 hours at 72 F. 5V USB-C charging and external power are supported.

Durability

Rated to 1000g of recoil, IP67 waterproof and rated for -4 F to 122 F. The QDM-L02 quick-detach Picatinny mount (1.59 inch height) is included.
